Dry Microbial Penetration Resistance Tester is designed to determine determine the penetration resistance of material to bacterial on dry particulates at a size range of human dandruff.
The resistance to dry microbial penetration test (ISO 22612) evaluates resistance characteristics of protective equipment to dry bacteria-carrying particles.Testing is most often performed on equipment such as surgical gowns, drapes, and clean air suits when used as medical devices. This test is part of a test suite required by the EN 13795 guidance, which determines performance requirements and performance levels for gowns, drapes, and clean air suits when used as medical devices. It is also included in the test suite required by EN 14126, for personal protective equipment. Testing in compliance to EN 13795 is part of following the European Union Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC, and is important when seeking a CE mark for products marketed in Europe.

Test principle:
When testing, the samples were seperately fixed on a container. In these containers, five containers carrying the bacillus subtilis and 1 container carrying uncontaminated talc powder used as control. Insert 1 petri dish at the bottom of each container and beneathe the bottom of the specimen.
The supporting vessel's equipment is oscillated by a gas ball type oscillator, and all of the talcum powder passing through the sample falls onto the petri dish. Remove the petri dish for culture. The experiment results were evaluated by counting the colonies.
Scope of application:
Dry microbial penetration resistance performance tester is professionaly used to determine the bacterial penetration resistance performance of materials to dry particulates in the size range of human body dandruff.
