Friction Tester for Non - woven Fabrics

Compliance Standards
INDA Test Method IST 140.1
Instrument DescriptionThis fabric friction tester can measure the static and kinetic friction coefficients of non - woven fabrics. It can be used to test the slippage of non - woven fabrics against themselves, as well as their slippage on the surfaces of other objects. The instrument consists of a flat plate, to which the sample is attached. During the test, the plate moves at a constant speed of 150mm/min and remains horizontal. The second sample is fixed on a sliding plate connected to the measuring device. When the driving device is activated, the pulling force increases to its maximum value. This pulling force, measured by the force - measuring device, is equivalent to the static friction coefficient. When the driving device continues to operate, the force - measuring device can measure the average force, which is equal to the kinetic friction coefficient.
