Compliance with standards of digital fabric thickness gauge:
GB/T 3820-1997 "Determination of Thickness of Textiles and Textile Products" and other standards
The operation method of digital fabric thickness gauge:
I. Preparation Inspect the instrument: Make sure the digital fabric thickness gauge is in good condition, check whether its appearance is intact and whether all components are firm and reliable. At the same time, clean the measuring rod and case to remove dust and dirt to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy. If there is dust or other dirt on the measuring rod, it will affect the movement of the measuring rod. Therefore, please wipe it clean with a clean cloth without oil. Do not apply oil on the measuring rod. Please wipe the case clean with a soft dry cloth. If there is serious dirt on the case, please wipe it with a damp cloth containing neutral detergent. Avoid using volatile solvents such as thinners to avoid damaging the case.
Select parameters: According to the characteristics of the fabric to be measured, select appropriate measurement parameters, such as presser foot area, pressurization pressure, etc. The selection of these parameters will directly affect the accuracy of the measurement results.
Calibrate the instrument: Before measuring, the digital fabric thickness gauge needs to be zero-calibrated. Lift the presser foot to ensure that there is no contact between it and the reference plate, and then adjust the zero-point calibration according to the requirements of the manual so that the reading on the display is zero.
2. Place the sample
Place flat: Place the fabric to be measured flat on the measuring platform to ensure that the fabric is not affected by tension. Avoid wrinkles or deformation of the fabric during the measurement process, which will affect the accuracy of the measurement results.
Select the presser foot: Select the appropriate presser foot according to the test standard and special needs. Unscrew the presser foot in the off state, screw on the replacement presser foot, and then turn on the machine for normal testing.
3. Start measurement
Start the program: Start the measurement program through the instrument interface. Before starting the measurement, make sure that the instrument is placed horizontally and that the zero-point calibration has been completed.
Apply pressure: The instrument will automatically apply pressure to the fabric and measure the distance between the presser foot and the reference plate, which is the thickness value of the fabric. During the measurement process, pay attention to maintaining close contact between the presser foot and the fabric to avoid air gaps.
4. Record data
Read the results: After the measurement is completed, the instrument will display the measurement results. At this time, the user can choose to store or print the data for subsequent analysis and processing.
Record report: Fill in the test data in the prepared test report, including information such as measurement value, measurement date, and measurement personnel. For subsequent quality control and R&D design use.
5. End work
Remove the weight: After the test is completed, remove the fabric to be tested and the weight, and put them in the accessory box.
Turn off the power: Pull down the power plug to turn off the power of the digital display. At the same time, do a good job of cleaning each part and cover the instrument with a cover cloth to protect it from dust and dirt.
Protect the presser foot: When the instrument is not in use or when replacing the presser foot, please place the protective sponge pad between the presser foot and the reference plate to protect the working surface from damage.
VI. Precautions
Avoid collision: The digital fabric thickness gauge is a precision instrument. During use, collision and falling should be avoided to avoid damage to the instrument or affect the measurement results.
Keep clean: The instrument should be kept clean and dry before and after use to avoid impurities entering the instrument and affecting its normal operation.
Regular calibration: The digital fabric thickness gauge needs to be calibrated regularly to ensure its measurement accuracy. It can be calibrated once every six months or one year according to the test working time. The calibration items include the accuracy of the digital display, the gap of the guide part of the measuring rod shaft, and the weight of the weight block and the presser foot.
Through the above steps, the digital fabric thickness gauge can be used correctly to measure the fabric thickness. In actual operation, the operation should be strictly by the requirements of the instruction manual to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results.
