Cera Chinensis

Constituent：

Chinese Insect Wax is a kind of animal wax with macromolecule structure. Its main constituent is the mixture of Esters of Aliphatic Monocarboxylic Acid, which accounts for 93~95% of total content and includes Oclacosyl Lignocerate, Melissy Lignocerate, Ceryl Lignocerate, Ceryl Cerotate, Heptacosyl Heptacosanate, Ceryl Montanate, Heptacosyl Melissate. Furthermore, the wax also contains 1% freed Melissyl Alcohol, 1~1.5% Rosin, 2~3% Heptacosane and Ceryl Alcohol, etc.

Chinese wax is a white to yellowish-white, gelatinous, crystalline water-insoluble substance obtained from the wax secreted by certain insects. It may be used for the production candles and polishes, and for the sizing of paper. It resembles spermaceti but is harder, more friable, and with a higher melting point.

About Insect Wax Extract(Cera Chinensis Extract)

Insect Wax is the purified wax secreted by male insect of Ericerus pela (Chavannes) Guerin, which dwelling gregariously at the stem and branch of Fraxinus: chinensis Roxb. Ligustrum lucidum Ait.(Fam.Oleaceae). or other species of the genus Legustru.
