Si4000 water-cooled xenon lamp aging test chamber test water requirements
The water-cooled xenon lamp aging test chamber is an aging test equipment independently developed and produced by our company, model Si4000. It can be benchmarked against ATLAS Ci4000/4400 and is used to test the weather resistance of materials such as solar photovoltaic, plastics, paints, packaging, automotive materials, and textile industries, including geotextiles, pigments, stabilizers, additives, etc.

Test parameters:

The use requirements of Si4000 water-cooled xenon lamp aging test chamber are much higher than those of air-cooled xenon lamp weathering test chamber, and pure water equipment is required. Air-cooled xenon lamp weathering test chamber can be sprayed with tap water. The Si4000 water-cooled xenon lamp aging chamber has high requirements for water purity because the cooling lamp tube mainly uses water from the purifier. If the water quality is not good, scale will be generated, affecting the irradiation of the lamp tube.
1. Deionized water must be used for lamp cooling water. Tap water must not be used without authorization. The conductivity is strictly required to be below 5us/cm because the triggering of the xenon lamp will generate a large current and high voltage. If water with high conductivity is used, the lamp tube will be damaged when triggered. The temperature of the second water inlet must be lower than 35℃ because too high water temperature will also shorten the life of the xenon lamp tube. Therefore, when using circulating water, there must also be a closed cold water system and filtration system to ensure that the water quality is not polluted again due to cooling.
2. The water for spraying and humidification in the water-cooled xenon lamp aging test chamber must be distilled water. If ordinary tap water is used, the surface of the sample will be wrapped with a white substance. If the purpose of irradiation is not achieved, this substance is the impurities in the water. After evaporation, it forms a crystal called calcium and magnesium. Therefore, this requires the use of distilled water to ensure the consistency of irradiation and achieve accurate testing.
