Horizontal Vertical Flame TesterGB5455 Flame Retardant Test
The Horizontal Vertical Flame Tester is a test device developed and produced by QINSUN instrument and is suitable for determining the flame retardant properties of flame retardant woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, coated products, laminated products and other products.
Test principle.
A specimen of a certain size is ignited under a specified burner and the duration of the ignition, negative ignition and the length of damage of the specimen after the specified ignition time is measured.
Sample requirements.
1. The sample should be taken from a part 1/10 of the width from the edge of the fabric, the sample size is 300mm X 80mm, the long side should be parallel to the warp (longitudinal) or weft (transverse) of the fabric.
2, each sample, warp and weft (longitudinal and transverse) each take five specimens, warp (longitudinal) specimens can not be taken from the same warp, weft (transverse) specimens can not be taken from the same weft.
3, the specimen should be GB6529 provisions, in the secondary standard atmosphere, that is, the temperature 20 ℃ Shi 2 ℃, relative humidity 65% Shi 3%, depending on the thickness of the sample placed 8-24h, until the balance. The sample is then removed and placed in a sealed container or may be processed under conditions agreed by all parties concerned. The arbitration test should be left for 24h.
Test results.
1. Calculate the average of the renewal burn time, negative burn time and length of damage for the five specimens in the warp (longitudinal) and weft (transverse) directions respectively.
2、Record the specimens in which the dripping material caused the burning of the skimmed cotton during the burning process.
3, for some samples, may be a few of the specimens were burned through, record the measured value of each unburned through the specimen of the time of renewal, negative combustion time and the length of damage, and in the test report to indicate the number of specimens burned through.
4. For specimens that melt and join together when burning, the high point of the melt should be used to measure the length of damage.
