How to operate the touch screen glow wire combustion tester
The touch screen glow wire combustion tester is a professional test equipment used to evaluate the fire hazard of plastic and non-metallic insulating material parts used in electrical and electronic products, components, and household appliance parts. The glow wire tester uses simulation technology to evaluate the fire hazard caused by thermal stress in a short period of time due to heat sources such as hot components or overload resistors. It is suitable for electrical and electronic equipment and their components and parts, and also for solid electrical insulating materials or other solid combustible materials.
Reference standards:
IEC 60695, GB/T 5169.10-2017, GB 4706.1, UL746, IEC829, DIN695, VDE0471
The following is the general operation method of the touch screen glow wire combustion tester:
Start the test
1. **Install the sample**
- Fix the prepared sample on the fixture of the test device to ensure that it is firmly installed. If it is an automatic sampling device, ensure that the sample is installed in the correct position and can be smoothly sent to the glow wire for testing.
2. **Start the test**
- Click the "Start Test" button on the touch screen. At this time, the trolley that clamps the sample (if it is an automatic sampling device) will automatically run the sample to the glow wire, and the glow wire will contact the sample according to the set temperature and pressure. When the set glow time is reached, the trolley automatically returns.
3. **Observation and Recording**
- During the test, closely observe the reaction of the sample through the observation window of the test chamber. Pay attention to whether the sample ignites, the flame height, the ignition time, the flame extinguishing time, etc. The touch screen of the device will display the test data such as temperature and time in real time, and these data can be recorded or directly printed out.
Post-test processing
1. **Check the sample and glow wire**
- After the test, wait for the sample to cool down, and then check the burning degree and carbonization of the sample. At the same time, check whether the glow wire is damaged, such as deformation, surface coating shedding, etc. If the glow wire is damaged, it needs to be replaced in time to avoid affecting the accuracy of subsequent test results.
2. **Cleaning the test chamber**
- Clean the inside of the test chamber and remove ashes, residues and other debris generated during the test. Keep the inside of the test chamber clean and tidy so that the next test can proceed normally.
3. **Data collation and report**
- Sort the recorded data and write a test report in accordance with relevant standard requirements. The report content includes test sample information, test conditions (temperature, time, pressure, etc.), test results (whether ignition, ignition time, flame extinguishing time, etc.) and conclusions, and judge whether the sample meets the corresponding flame retardant standards.
