FOGGING TEST CHAMBER
To determine the fogging characteristics of automotive interior trim of textiles, plastic or leather. Fogging is the residue deposited on interior glass of chemicals released from materials under specific temperature conditions. It is a combination of a choice of 6-position horizon fog testing system / heating unit (AC or PC), cooling system and the accessory kit for the Gravimetric or Reflect metric test method. Trim samples are placed in the beakers under a retaining ring and the beakers are sealed and standardized glass plates clamped by a cover plate. The samples are subjected to accurate cycles of heating and cooling after which access material amount on the glass plates (Reflectometric) or the material mass gathered on the foil (Gravimetric). 

PC models equipped with large color LCD screen and quick navigation keypad which provides the real-time graphs with temperature ramping. Also multiple information or data displays are available.

It applies to the following test methods:
1) Gloss Method: the sample cup is heated by the fog evaporated gas condensing on cold glass by glass gloss values were compared before and after condensation and calculated, the sample can be drawn into the fog value.
2) Gravimetric method: the sample cup is heated by the fog evaporated gas condensing on cold aluminum foil, aluminum foil condensed by weighing before and after the change in weight, the sample can be drawn from the atomization - the weight of condensate.
3) Haze method: the sample cup is heated by the fog evaporated gas condensing on cold glass, through the haze value before and after the glass condensate compare and calculate, the sample can be drawn into the fog value.
