What is the difference between UVA and UVB in UV Accelerated Weathering Tester?
The UV Accelerated Weathering Tester uses imported American Atlas or American QINSUN lamps. There are two types of lamps, UVA-340 and UVB-313; what is the difference between them?
1. The lamps of the QINSUN fluorescent aging test box mainly emit fluorescent ultraviolet rays, and a small amount is visible light or infrared light. The electricity consumption is equivalent to an ordinary 40-watt fluorescent lamp.
2. The total UV energy emitted and the type of spectrum the lamp emits vary. The difference between UV-A and UV-B lamps is that their output illuminates the area differently.
3. UVA-340 Tubes don't have any UV output when below normal sunlight 295nm, so they usually don't age the material as fast as UV-B tubes.
4. Especially useful when comparing different types of test samples, UVA-340 can provide more solar spectrum simulation and better spectrum for actual outdoor aging test, its wavelength range is from 295~365nm, and the light intensity is 1.0W/㎡;
5. UVB-313 radiation represents the short wavelength of sunlight on the earth's surface and is widely used in research and development and quality control, resulting in faster and more economical results, because UVB lamps emit unnatural short-wave ultraviolet rays, and its wavelength range is 280~315nm The light intensity is 0.68W/㎡, which may produce abnormal results when it is lower than the sunlight cut-off point of 295nm.
Both UVA-340 and UVB-313 UV lamps are available in the UV Accelerated Weathering Tester. The total amount of sunlight they emit is different, but they can generate the same proportion of UV wavelengths. The wavelengths of both lamps are fixed. , The light intensity is adjustable, and the lamp life is 1800~2500 hours.
