Random Tumble Pilling Tester

The Random Tumble Pilling Tester is used to determine the fabric pilling and fuzzing performance under controlled laboratory conditions. Test specimens are placed inside individual test chambers lined with cork. Driven by a high-speed rotating impeller and assisted by compressed air, the specimens undergo continuous random tumbling and friction against the cork lining.
After a preset test duration, the instrument automatically stops and issues an audible alarm. The degree of pilling and surface fuzzing is evaluated by visual comparison with standard reference photographs.
Application
The Random Tumble Pilling Tester is suitable for evaluating the pilling resistance of the following textile products:
(1) Woven apparel fabrics such as shirts, trousers, suits, and workwear
(2) Knitted fabrics including sweaters, T-shirts, underwear, and sportswear
(3) Blended fabrics made of cotton, wool, synthetic fibers, and their blends
(4) Home textile fabrics such as bedding materials and decorative textiles
(5) Lightweight upholstery and interior textile materials
