Carpet Static Load Tester

Instrument Features
- Simulate the imprints caused by furniture - Meet international standard requirements - Combine the static load tester with the thickness gauge, saving a lot of testing time - Simple, compact and durable
Instrument Description
When furniture is moved, imprints are often left at the position of its feet. These imprints will disappear only when the carpet recovers to its original thickness. This instrument provides a convenient and reliable method to imitate such imprints and test the recovery of carpets after being compressed. This instrument applies a heavy load to the sample within a specified time, usually a pressure of 7 kg/cm² for 24 hours, with a stressed area of 6.0 cm², making it easy to place the WIRA digital thickness gauge in the compressed area. This device complies with the requirements of BS 4939 *Determination of the reduction in thickness of carpets after long - term heavy static loading*. The experiment is applicable to all textile carpets with the same thickness and structure, and is also applicable when measuring areas with different thicknesses and structures separately.
